A nourished character can run as if she possessed the Run feat, and is granted a +1 circumstance bonus to Strength and Dexterity based checks, as well as a +4 circumstance bonus vs effects that cause fatigue or exhaustion. Becoming fatigued or doing anything that would cause fatigue removes this condition. Otherwise, it fades after one hour.
You are skilled at preparing exceptionally nourishing meals.
Check: Preparing a meal has a DC of 10 (for a decent meal), 20 (good meal), 30 (extraordinary meal), or 40 (legendary meal). You need ingredients, and a suitable kitchen or equivalent work space. Without a proper kitchen, you take -4 on your cooking check. Cooking without ingredients is impossible.
- Decent Meal: A decent meal grants the nourished condition
- Good Meal: A good meal grants a +1 circumstance bonus on fort saves for the condition’s duration, in addition to the benefits of a decent meal.
- Extraordinary Meal: In addition to the effects of a good meal, an extraordinary meal grants 2d8 temporary hit points per 4 HD, they last for a number of hours equal to your (HD / 4) minimum one hour.
- Legendary Meal: A legendary meal grants the effects of an extraordinary meal, as well as a +2 circumstance bonus to all saves, and Fast Healing 1 for one hour.
Action: Preparing a meal takes a half-hour, although a particularly intricate or important meal may take longer, at the GM’s discretion.
Try Again: Yes, but every time you prepare a meal any ingredients used are consumed.
A cook can enhance her meals with one of these modifiers with a decent or good meal, two modifiers with an extraordinary meal, or three modifiers with a legendary meal.
Special: A spellcasting chef who uses one of her meals as a material component of her spell doubles the bonus of that spell; this is only applicable to spells that share the same name as the modifiers below.
Note: A character cannot benefit from a modifier more than once in a 24-hour period.
|Aid||Aid grants the target a plus one morale bonus on attack rolls and saves against fear effects, plus temporary hit points equal to 1d8 + character level (to a maximum of 1d8 plus 10 temporary hit points at character level 10th).||3 ranks||5 rounds per level||Ant Haul||The target’s carrying capacity triples. This does not affect the creature’s actual Strength in any way, merely the amount of material it can carry while benefiting from this modifier. It also has no effect on encumbrance due to armor. At any time while the modifier is in effect, the target can choose to end the modifier as a swift action for a burst of healing energy. The target loses the saving throw bonus, but is healed of 1d8 points of damage plus 1 point per character level (maximum plus 10).||5 ranks||5 rounds per level||Darkvision||The subject gains the ability to see 60 feet even in total darkness. Darkvision is black and white only but otherwise like normal sight.||5 ranks||30 minutes per level||Feather Step||For the duration of this modifier, the subject ignores the adverse movement effects of difficult terrain, and can even take 5-foot steps in difficult terrain.||3 ranks||5 minutes per level||Heightened Awareness||You gain a +2 competence bonus on Perception checks and on all Knowledge checks that you are trained in. Every creature partaking of the feast is cured of all sickness and nausea, receives the benefits of both neutralize poison and remove disease. The ambrosial food grants each creature that partakes a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and Will saves and a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against poison and fear effects for 12 hours.||13 ranks||12 hours||Heroism||The target gains a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks.||7 ranks||5 minutes per level||Heroism, Greater||The creature gains a +4 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks, immunity to fear effects, and temporary hit points equal to your character level (maximum 20).||13 ranks||5 rounds per level||Identify||This modifier functions as detect magic, except that it gives you a +10 enhancement bonus on Spellcraft checks made to identify the properties and command words of magic items in your possession. This modifier does not allow you to identify artifacts.||3 ranks||1 round per level||Longstrider||This modifier gives you a +10 foot enhancement bonus to your base speed. It has no effect on other modes of movement, such as burrow, climb, fly, or swim.||3 ranks||30 minutes per level||Rage||Each affected creature gains a +2 morale bonus to Strength and Constitution, a +1 morale bonus on Will saves, and a -2 penalty to AC. Legendary Ingredients: Incredibly hard to find ingredients, of legendary quality. Grant a +5 circumstance bonus to a Profession (Cooking) check made to create a meal. Price: 500g. Weight: 1/4 lbs.
Cooking Kit: Basic tools required to cook a meal. Price: 5g. Weight: 5 lbs.
Kitchen: This kitchen is used for cooking, and provides a +2 circumstance bonus on Profession (Cooking) checks. It does not provide any ingredients. Without this kitchen, a character with the Profession (Cooking) skill is assumed to have enough tools to use the skill but not enough to get the +2 bonus that the kitchen provides. Price: 200g.
